What colour is the wind?

God's love for us is the colour of the wind. There is no a distinct colour of the wind and so there is no measure of God's love for us. God is the beginning and end of all things, his love for us is everlasting. God makes the sun rise in the morning and sets it at night. God makes it rain, to water the crops which allows us to eat. God gives life, God takes life. God's love for us gives colour to the wind. God loves you more than you know or can even imagine.

John 3 verse 16 says, for God loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

For the love of it...

I consider cooking so much as a hobby, I even listed it on my CV. I cook passionately, because I enjoy preparing a dish / meal and look forward to the enjoyment of it. Some people can't cook to save their lives, others dread the idea of it and there's people like me who find a sense of relaxation in it. Preparing grills, stews, curries, pastas (and sometimes baking of different kinds of breads) allows me to unwind after a stressful day. (Hopefully my passion for cooking won't one day reflect on my hips). I'm definitely considering to study chef and food preparation and one day somehow incorporate it with my Public Relations qualification.

If I were the boss...

(spreadsheet.com)
Initially I would like to be my own boss someday. I would prefer to manage people rather than just receive instructions all day long. Naive as it may seem, but I would like to form personalized relationships with my subordinates. I wouldn't want to be perceived as being the "wicked witch", constantly instructing them  as if they weren't adults and couldn't think for themselves. Relationships with my subordinates should be viewed as friends and not pals. I will still except their best performance at all times, but wouldn't constantly want to assert my authority over them. They should be sure not over step boundaries to insure that a good relationship is maintained. I strongly believe that you shouldn't always have to assert one's authority to manage the effectiveness of a team or to obtain respect. Because over assertiveness of authority can also be viewed as a weakness of a leader by the subordinates. *My Thoughts*

Your money's worth

"Dear customers we apologise for the inconvenience" Metrorail's golden words. For several weeks  frustrated capetonians have been hearing the phrase over and over and over again. Trains cancelled, vandalized,  overloaded to maximum capacity and congested traffic on the roads because of it,  has become the norm, or so it seems. Economically is seems smarter to use the train as method of transport, because it's cheaper, but with these horrible conditions I'd rather walked to where I need to be and still get there faster. Last week I stumbled across an article, almost as if it was heave - sent. The article announced that the City of Cape Town is to formally take over train services in the Metro. (Thank Heavens, I thought) The City plans to create an integrated public transport system comprising rail, the city's bus  (My Citi), minibus taxis and non - motorized transport.  Think Capetonians have lots to be smiling about now.
